Have you ever found an old eye shadow that you never used because it was too dark or bold for your skin tone? Did you ever try it as an eyeliner instead?
I'm really into recycling and finding (logical) use for things that have just been sitting around. Makeup is most definitely one of them! Why throw it away if it can be used for something even better?
To make your own liquid eyeliner all you need is-
1.) Any kind of clear liquid eye/face primer
2.) Loose powder eye shadow (solid is okay, you will just have to scrape it off with a flat edged makeup spatula) in any shade
3.) Liner brush (mine is an angled liner brush that helps me with my "cat eye" look but you can use whatever liner brush you're comfortable with)
4.) Lid to mix the shadow and primer together (lid from disposable water bottle)
In the lid apply a less than pea size amount of loose powder shadow and 1-2 drops of liquid primer. Mix them together with your brush making sure it isn't too thick otherwise you wont get a clean line! Wipe off excess mix from your brush before applying!
The eye shadow I used was "velvet charcoal" in the velvet shadow collection by Bare Minerals!
