Homemade Exfoliating Lip Treatment

Nobody wants to have dry/cracked lips, so here are two really in-expensive and simple ways to reverse and protect damage to your lips from this winter's weather.
Gentle Lip Exfoliator
You will need- a soft bristle toothbrush and Bag Balm or Vaseline.
1. Be sure lips are clean and free of any makeup/lip products.
2. Apply thick coat of Bag Balm to lips.
3. With toothbrush, gently brush in small circular movements across the top and bottom lip.
4. You may repeat step 3 up to 4 times.
5. Dab the area with a warm wash cloth and pat dry.
Soothing & Protecting Lip Balm
You will need- Bag Balm, Peppermint Essential Oil and a small (.5 oz) container with lid.
1. Scoop 1 tbsp. of Bag Balm into the small container.
2. Add 1 drop of Peppermint Essential Oil (soothes the lips).
3. Mix contents well.
4. Apply to lips before bed.
5. Top with lid for continuous use.
Bag Balm has been used in my family for a very long time! It is a great protectant for minor cuts, chapped lips and chapped hands/feet. I have used it for all of those things and I love how it works! You can find it at and CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens for under $10!
